Gasball fungus
A parasite type of fungus that infests the mangroves of Ardika's wetlands. It uproots and twists them, allowing them to form a comfortable cradle to host its bulbous spore sack.The sack's thin membrane is ripe with spores drifting inside and a soup of pressurized volatile gasses that can range from a simple pop to a dangerous burst of splinters. Oh, and if you add a little fire to the mix? That's how Ardi rebelled against the Norren dominion during the great divide.
